Born in 1968, the luxury version which will complement the 500 F, the new 500 L. The differences are only aesthetic but important. The most evident is the “Ercolano”, made of chromed metal tubular elements that complement and reinforce the bumpers to limit the little damage to the vehicle during parking.

It also changes the wheel covers and as standard they offer radial tires instead of cross-ply tires, appear shiny metal profiles around the window seals, the front with the Fiat brand have again the diamond design, the front plate is attached to the bumper and no longer to the calendar, the identification logo "New 500" is replaced with a nameplate "Fiat 500 L" on two lines.
The interior is nicer, the floor is carpeted and the dashboard is made of black plastic. The dashboard is completely new, elongated rectangular shape is similar to the one mounted on the Fiat 850, the speedometer is long and narrow, the indicator of the fuel level, the steering wheel has the two-spoke perforated metal, horn button changes format, the seats are made with similar leather, in addition to the glove box under the dashboard are mounted two side pockets on the doors, behind the gear lever there is a small storage compartment in the tunnel, the shift knob is anatomical. New colors are available: black, yellow ocher, red coral.
