Highlights
This is a private 6-Day Tour to Uganda which offers a combination of Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking, with the opportunity to see other animal species as well. This experience will take place in the Bwindi Impenetrable and Lake Mburo National Park, in which you are also going to be able to experience the culture of the local communities with your English guide.
Itinerary
Ngamba Chimpanzee Island
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
10 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedArrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be met by a representative who will transfer you to your hotel for Itinerary briefing. If time permits, you will be transferred to the pier for the boat trip to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, home to over 40 orphaned Chimpanzee, a worthy cause supporting the endangered Chimpanzees throughout Uganda. This trip will enable you to learn about the plight of wild chimpanzees in the visitor’s center on the island as well as watching the orphaned chimps as they come in from the forest for their food. In the evening you will receive a pre-trip briefing at the hotel. You will trek into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes led by experienced trackers who will bring you close to the families of Mountain Gorillas. These massively gentle primates are extremely rare, with less than 690 remaining in the world. The trekking may be fairly strenuous, at relatively high-altitude. These animals are highly elusive and it is not a guarantee that they will be seen. However, with the assistance of our experienced guides, chances are high that you will see them.
