The eSIM you are purchasing is a reusable eSIM, also known as a Pelago eSIM.
Install Your eSIM Through the Pelago App
If this is your first Pelago eSIM, install your eSIM through the Pelago app by following the installation instructions provided in your booking. Your eSIM QR code can only be installed once.Keep Your eSIM on Your Primary Device
Your eSIM QR code can only be scanned and installed once on one device. Once installed, the eSIM cannot be transferred to another device or reinstalled using the same QR code. Keep the eSIM on your device and do not delete or remove it after installation.Turn It On When You Arrive
Do not turn on your eSIM or enable data roaming until you arrive at your destination. Once you arrive, go to your phone settings, turn on your Pelago eSIM and enable data roaming.Connect to a Supported Local Network
Your data plan validity starts when your eSIM successfully connects to a supported local network at your destination.Add More Data When Needed
If you need more data during your trip, purchase an eligible data top up through the Pelago app. Your new data plan will be added to your existing Pelago eSIM.Reuse Your eSIM for Future Trips

Installing your eSIM for the first time
Step 1: Open the Pelago App
Download and open the Pelago app, then sign in using the account associated with your eSIM booking.Step 2: Install eSIM
From the Pelago app's main or Explore page, select "Install eSIM" to begin the installation process. Follow the instructions in your phone's settings to complete the eSIM installation. Keep your device connected to a stable Wi-Fi network during the installation process. You can install your eSIM before travelling.Step 3: Keep Your eSIM Installed
Once installation is successful, keep the eSIM on your device. Do not delete or remove it. Keep the eSIM turned off and do not enable data roaming until you arrive at your destination.Step 4: Turn On Your eSIM When You Arrive
Once you arrive at your destination, go to your phone settings, turn on your Pelago eSIM and enable data roaming. Your eSIM will then connect to a supported local network.Step 5: Start Using Your Data

Do not scan the voucher QR code to manually install the eSIM through your phone's Settings. Use the installation flow in the Pelago app.

Must Know
- Select your travel arrival date when making your booking.
- We recommend installing your eSIM before travelling while connected to stable Wi-Fi. Keep the eSIM turned off and Data Roaming disabled until you arrive at your destination.
- Installing your eSIM does not start your plan validity. Your data plan validity starts when your eSIM successfully connects to a supported local network at your destination.
- Once at your destination, turn on your Pelago eSIM, select it for mobile data, and turn on Data Roaming for the Pelago eSIM.
- The eSIM QR code can only be installed once. Do not delete or remove the eSIM after successful installation.
- To avoid potential roaming charges, disable Data Roaming for your primary SIM.
- Your data allowance depends on the plan selected at purchase, and usage is deducted from your purchased data entitlement.
- Unlimited plans are subject to a Fair Usage Policy. Once the high-speed data allowance is used, speeds may be reduced to at least 128 kbps.
- Start using your eSIM within one month of purchase.
- eKYC verification is not required.

Please make sure:
- Your device supports eSIM. Refer to device list here.
- Your device is not carrier locked.
- You are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- You have the Pelago app installed and are signed in to the account used for your booking.
- You have sufficient battery on your device.
- You do not already have a different installation in progress.
Before Your Trip
- First time using a Pelago eSIM: Follow the installation instructions in the Pelago app.
- Existing Pelago eSIM user: You do not need to install another eSIM. Your new eligible data plan will be added to your existing eSIM.
- Install your Pelago eSIM through the Pelago app before you travel or at your destination.
- Installing your eSIM does not start your plan validity. Your selected data plan starts when your eSIM successfully connects to a supported local network at your destination.
- We recommend installing it before your trip while connected to a stable Wi-Fi network so that your eSIM is ready to use when you arrive.
- Do not delete or remove your eSIM after it has been successfully installed.
- Your Pelago eSIM can be reused for future trips, so you only need to install it once.
When You Arrive at Your Destination
- Go to your phone settings and turn on your Pelago eSIM.
- Select your Pelago eSIM as your mobile data line.
- Turn on Data Roaming for your Pelago eSIM.
- Turn off mobile data on your primary SIM if needed to avoid using your primary line for mobile data.
- Your eSIM will connect to a supported local network, and your data plan validity starts when the connection is successful.
During Your Trip
- Your eSIM provides mobile data over available 4G, LTE or 5G networks, depending on your destination and network availability.
- Mobile hotspot is supported.
- Voice calls and SMS are not supported.
- Check your remaining data and plan validity through the Pelago app.
- If you need more data, purchase a new data plan through the Pelago app. The new plan will be added to your existing Pelago eSIM.
