The Kansai & Hiroshima Area Pass provides unlimited train travel for 5 days in the following regions:

The JR West Kansai-Hiroshima Area Pass is only available to:
- Foreign travellers entering Japan under the “Temporary Visitor” visa status (i.e., for tourism).
- A valid passport with a "Temporary Visitor" stamp/sticker must be presented at the exchange point to redeem the pass.
Not eligible:
- Japanese passport holders
- Foreigners residing in Japan under long-term visas (work, student, permanent resident, etc.)
- Travellers without the “Temporary Visitor” status in their passport
Please ensure you meet the eligibility requirements before purchasing, as passes will not be issued and no refunds will be provided if ineligible at redemption.
- Children under age 1: Free
- Ages 1–5: Up to two children per adult can travel free (without reserved seats)
- Additional children or children requiring reserved seats must purchase a Child Pass
- Children traveling alone also need a Child Pass
- Up to 2 pieces of checked luggage (excluding carry-ons)
- Weight limit: 30 kg per item
- Size limit: Combined dimensions (L + W + H) must be ≤ 250 cm; length must be ≤ 200 cm
- Your booking will be confirmed instantly upon successful payment.

- A full refund will be issued if the cancellation is made at least 1 day before the selected date.
- No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 1 day before the selected date.

Important Requirements for Pass Exchange
- Must present e-MCO voucher and valid passport.
- Exchange must be completed within 90 days of voucher issue.
- For e-passport holders: Use ticket machines.
- For passports without IC chips: Use ticket counters.
1. Self-Service via Ticket Vending Machines
- Machines marked with “passport” icon.
- Available only for travelers with IC-chip passports.
- If the machine is unavailable or your passport is incompatible, please go to the JR Ticket Office.
2. JR West Ticket Office (Midori-no-madoguchi / Green Window)
- Present your e-voucher and passport.
- Staff will verify your name and passport details.
3. Reserved Seat Redemption
- Collect at green ticket booth or machine before boarding.
- If reserved seat quota is unavailable, you may sit in unreserved seats.
- If using reserved seats more than 6 times, please reserve manually at the ticket counter.

Great value voucher, it's cover train between osaka, kyoto, kobe, himeji, okayama and hiroshima
Fuss free exchange at JR Osaka office, and able to reserve JR train tickets via the “green” machine rather than to do it over the counter. Was able to reserve train tickets to KIX as well! Highly recommend if you are considering to take Shinkansen to explore Hiroshima and Kansai area.
Redeeming the pass was a breeze. Using the JR pass around the Osaka region was fairly easy as well. However, redeeming the Shinkansen tickets is a bit tricky. But the ticket office staff was really nice in showing me how to redeem it. Highly recommend it!
Very easy to redeem and use. The pass has certainly helped saved a lot as it covers a large area. With this pass, it even allowed the reservation and use of a seat on the Nozomi Shinkansen.
