This guide is specifically for customers who are redeeming or have already redeemed the SIA Complimentary eSIM. It walks you through how to redeem your Complimentary eSIM and covers common issues related to the free eSIM offer, so you can get connected smoothly and with ease.

Step-by-Step Guide to Redeem Complimentary eSIM

  1. Book your flight on singaporeair.com or flyscoot.com

  2. Log in to Pelago with your KrisFlyer account

  3. Search for "SIA ESIM" or click on [this] link to the eSIM page

  4. Select the "Singapore Airlines Exclusive: 2GB for 3 Days" option

  5. Apply the required promo code at checkout

  6. Kindly refer to the voucher sent to your email from the service provider to proceed with your eSIM activation

📝 Important: Redemptions for the SIA complimentary eSIMs are limited, so be sure to claim your promo code and use it before it runs out!


Step-by-Step Guide to Activate Complimentary eSIM

  1. Receive your eSIM QR code in your email

  2. Scan the QR code or click activation link (for iOS 17.4 and newer users only) to set up eSIM instantly

  3. Activation must be done within 365 days of receiving the QR code

  4. Your plan starts automatically upon first network connection in a covered country (including your home country)


Complimentary eSIM FAQs

I applied the promo code but it’s not working

If your complimentary eSIM promo code isn’t working, please check the following:

  • You are using the correct promo code, exactly as provided for the complimentary eSIM

  • The code is being applied to the correct product and option

  • There are no extra spaces before or after the code

  • This is your first time using the promo code, as it can only be redeemed once per user per month

I am seeing Error: “Fully Redeemed”

This may appear because:

  • The complimentary eSIM promo code has been fully claimed for the month. Redemptions are limited and reset monthly.

  • The complimentary eSIM promo code has previously been redeemed

Do I need to visit a physical counter to redeem my eSIM?

No need! Redemption of the complimentary eSIM is fully online and there is no need to visit any physical counter.

I selected the wrong country of activation at checkout

Rest assured that you will still be able to activate the complimentary eSIM from your actual country of use, as long as it is one of the 118 countries listed under Global Coverage on the product page.

I still have not received my confirmation voucher for my complimentary eSIM

Here are a few things you can check:

  • Look out for a confirmation email titled “Frewie Prepaid eSIM - Setup and Activate eSIM Service”

  • Please allow up to 2 hours for the voucher to arrive after redemption

  • Check your spam or junk folder, just in case it landed there

What should I do if the QR Code for my complimentary eSIM code doesn’t work?

If you’re having trouble installing your complimentary eSIM, try the following steps:

  • Check that your device supports eSIMs. You can view the list of compatible devices [here]

  • Make sure you’ve scanned the correct QR code provided in the confirmation voucher

How long is the complimentary eSIM valid for?

For the 2GB SIA Global eSIM, the complimentary eSIM is valid for 365 days from the date you receive your confirmation voucher.
