Install your eSIM through the Pelago app
Install your eSIM through the Pelago app by following the installation instructions provided in your booking. Installing the eSIM does not start your plan validity.Connect when you arrive
When you arrive at your destination, turn on your Pelago eSIM, select it for mobile data and enable Data Roaming.Keep and reuse your eSIM
Keep your Pelago eSIM installed for future plans and top-ups. The QR code can only be used once on one device.
Installing your Pelago eSIM for the first time
Open the Pelago app
Open the Pelago app and sign in using the account linked to your booking.Install eSIM
From the Pelago app's Explore page, select Install eSIM to begin the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions while connected to stable Wi-Fi.Keep your eSIM switched off
Once installed, keep the Pelago eSIM switched off until you arrive at your destination.Turn on your eSIM when you arrive
When you arrive at your destination, turn on the Pelago eSIM and enable Data Roaming. Your eSIM will then connect to a supported local network.- ImportantInstalling your eSIM won’t start your data plan, but turning it on with data roaming before your trip may activate it if it connects to a supported network.

Installing your eSIM
- If this is your first Pelago eSIM, install it through the Pelago app and follow the on-screen instructions.

- Once installed, do not delete it from your device.
- Keep it switched off until you arrive at your destination.
Activating your eSIM
- Turn on your Pelago eSIM.
- Select the Pelago eSIM as your mobile data line.
- Enable data roaming for the Pelago eSIM.
- Allow your device a few moments to connect to a supported local network
- Open a messaging app or website to confirm your internet connection is working.
Your plan validity begins when the Pelago eSIM first successfully connects to a supported network at your destination.
Using your eSIM
- This is a data-only eSIM. Voice calls and SMS are not included.
- Internet-based calling and messaging apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime and Telegram can be used with your mobile data.
- Mobile hotspot is supported.
- 4G/LTE/5G availability depends on local network coverage and your location.
- Actual connection speeds may vary due to local network conditions.
Check your data usage
- You can check your remaining data, plan validity and usage information in the Pelago app.
- Your eSIM will appear on the app home page after installation.
- Data usage shown by your device may differ slightly from the usage recorded by the mobile network.
Need more data?
- You can purchase additional data through the Pelago app.
- Your top-up will be added to your existing Pelago eSIM, so there is no need to install another eSIM.
