It’s that time of year again — the city’s gearing up for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025.

Road closures are just around the corner, and getting around City Hall is about to get a little trickier. But it’s all worth it when the world’s most iconic night race rolls into town.

That familiar roar of high-octane race cars will soon echo through Marina Bay, lighting up the skyline and streets. If you haven’t secured your F1 tickets yet, now’s the perfect time to do it.

But if you’re planning to watch it all unfold from beyond the grandstands, here’s where to watch F1 in Singapore 2025 — from hidden free spots with skyline backdrops to luxury hotels offering jaw-dropping trackside views.

Time for some va-va-vroom! Let’s get into it:

Let’s start with the when before the where.

So, when is F1 Singapore 2025 happening?

Mark your calendars — the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix 2025 takes place from 3 to 5 October 2025. That’s three adrenaline-packed days of roaring engines, blazing lights, and non-stop action around Marina Bay.

And here’s a quick look at Singapore’s F1 map to help you visualise it more easily:

Trackside Views Worth the Ticket – Best Grandstands & Hospitality

If you want to catch the most thrilling F1 moments, you’ve got to be in the heart of the action — where the roar of the engines and the blur of speed are just metres away.

From prime grandstand seats to luxury hospitality suites along the Singapore race track, these are the trackside views your ticket will unlock.

Zone 4 Walkabout Tickets

If you’re after an all-in-one, budget-friendly F1 ticket that still lets you catch a slice of the thrill, Zone 4 Walkabout tickets could be just the thing.

You’ll find specially designed viewing platforms offering epic vantage points all around Circuit Park.

For example, you might start by watching the race along Temasek Avenue, then head over to the Empress Lawn by the Asian Civilisations Museum for a completely different perspective.

Best of all, you’ll have easy access to the Padang Stage to catch this year’s headliners — G-Dragon and Elton John. What’s not to love?

Bayfront Grandstand (Access to All Zones)

Think of the Bayfront Grandstand at F1 Singapore as a serious upgrade from the Walkabout tickets.

Here, you’re right in the heart of the excitement beneath Singapore’s longest bridge — the towering Benjamin Sheares Bridge.

This is where the roar of the engines echoes as cars slow through Turns 16 and 17, just metres from your seat.

Then, before you can catch your breath, they surge forward again, blasting past the Singapore Flyer in a blur of lights and speed.

It’s a view to die for — your Drive to Survive fantasy, live and in full throttle.

Torque Lounge at the Singapore Flyer

Speaking of the Singapore Flyer, it’s home to one of the best F1 race views for hospitality guests.

With this ticket, you can relax at the ground floor of the observation wheel and enjoy electrifying, complimentary 360-degree rides on the Flyer itself. (If you’ve been up before, you’ll know just how much of the city you can see.)

There isn’t a direct track view at the Torque Lounge, per se. But you do get an excellent close-up of the cars entering the pit lane or braking hard into the final corner.

If you’re a hardcore fan, that might be well worth the ticket price.

Sky Suite – Hospitality Package

Now we’re on to the crème de la crème of F1 tickets in Singapore — the Sky Suite.

And yes, it’s every bit as impressive as it sounds.

You’ll indulge in gourmet cuisine and free-flow champagne all night, with the race playing on multiple screens — or better yet, enjoy panoramic views from your suite’s private gallery or the rooftop Sky Terrace.

The latter even offers Michelin-starred F&B options, so you know you’re in for serious pampering.

Best Hotels & Rooftops for a World-Class F1 View

Couldn’t score F1 tickets this year? Or maybe a super-luxury hotel sounds like the perfect vantage point to watch the race in comfort?

Either way, we’ve rounded up the best stays with views worthy of the Formula One World Championship — all perfectly placed to soak in the buzz of the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

If you’re looking for the best hotel to watch the Singapore Grand Prix — and “best” here is no exaggeration — you can’t go wrong with The Ritz-Carlton.

Not only will you enjoy sweeping views of Marina Bay, but you’ll also get a front-row seat to the circuit’s final sector at Turns 19 and 20, where cars roar towards the last corners.

Yes, it’s a pricey stay — but with stunning race views and the option to soak in a bubble bath in those gorgeous marble bathrooms, it’s totally worth forking out for.

Pro tip: Treat yourself to a meal at the posh, Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Summer Pavilion, which boasts one of the best private dining rooms in Singapore.

Marina Bay Sands

What better way to enjoy some legendary F1 views than at Marina Bay Sands itself?

We’ve got to be honest, though — the views from the rooms aren’t the best.

But if you book a stay here and head up to either the SkyPark Observation Deck or CÉ LA VI Club Lounge & Rooftop Bar, the view of the Esplanade Drive stretch is spectacular.

And in any case, can you really get better F1 vibes than at the iconic infinity pool? After all, you could literally watch F1 while swimming!

Not the clearest view, sure — but definitely a bucket-list experience.

Swissôtel The Stamford

Maybe getting in the centre of it all isn’t a priority for you. And perhaps you’re a sucker for sky-high views.

We’ve got just the spot for one of the best hotel views of Singapore’s F1 race: Swissôtel The Stamford.

At 73 floors high, you’re guaranteed a gorgeous panoramic view of the city.

Book a high-floor room and you can easily spot multiple parts of the circuit, including the Padang and the old Republic Boulevard sections.

And if all else fails, SKAI Bar on the 70th floor may host F1 viewing parties.

Mandarin Oriental

If unobstructed F1 views are what you’re after, there’s no competition — The Mandarin Oriental is the place to be.

From this swanky hotel, you can watch the Singapore Grand Prix with clear sightlines to Turns 16 to 19.

For a more social vibe, head to the rooftop MO Bar on Level 3 — a splendid spot to knock back a few stiff drinks while catching the full spectacle.

Pan Pacific Singapore

For track-facing rooms — specifically the Pit Straight and Turns 1 to 2 — Pan Pacific Singapore is always a solid choice.

If you’re planning to attend the races inside the circuit, this luxe hotel is an excellent jump-off point.

Why? It’s within walking distance of several grandstand gates.

And even if that’s not your plan, the Pacific Club Lounge on the top floor offers sweeping 360-degree views of Marina Bay.

Who knows — since the hotel is so popular among teams, you might even run into a few famous faces along the way.

JW Marriott Singapore South Beach

For one of the best hotels near the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, make a beeline for JW Marriott Singapore South Beach.

Newer — and arguably trendier — than some of the other hotels in the area, this stylish stay offers fantastic views of Turn 7 on the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

That 90-degree right-hand corner comes at the end of the longest straight on the track.

Fun fact: it’s nicknamed “Memorial” Corner because it sits next to a Second World War civilian memorial.

Oh, and if you’re heading to the race itself, the Stamford Grandstand offers a marvellous view of this section.

The Fullerton Hotel

They say old is gold — and that couldn’t be truer for The Fullerton Hotel.

With its prime location right on the F1 circuit, you know clear views are guaranteed. This grand old dame offers impeccable vantage points of the race — including from its outdoor infinity pool.

Plus, you’re surrounded by plenty of fancy restaurants and bars. Think Lantern and La Brasserie for wining and dining to your heart’s content.

Honourable Mentions

  • Fairmont Singapore (connected to the Swissôtel): Just a five-minute walk from the gates and perfectly positioned at Turn 9, with superb track views.

  • Conrad Centennial (near Turns 7–8): No direct views, but you’ll hear plenty of revving and race-day buzz. A beautiful — and convenient — stay in any case.

  • Hotel NuVe Heritage: No direct F1 views, but a chic boutique option close to the action.

  • InterContinental Singapore: Again, no direct views, but this luxury five-star gem sits near the circuit and delivers plenty of creature comforts.

How to Watch F1 in Singapore for Free

Maybe you couldn’t snag a ticket in time — or you’re just saving your dollars.

Not to worry — you can still find free F1 viewing spots in Singapore and maybe even catch glimpses of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen battling it out, all without paying a cent.

Here are the top places where to watch F1 Singapore for free (just be warned — the crowds will be intense).

Helix Bridge

Architecturally stunning and close to Marina Bay Sands, this gorgeous bridge sits beside the final sector of the circuit — between the Flyer and the Pit Straight.

From here, you might spot cars blasting towards the last corner under the glow of the night race lights.

Heads up: It gets extremely crowded. Arrive hours early — even in the morning — to claim a prime railing spot. Do that, and you’ll soak up an intoxicating mix of engine roars, cheering fans, and city lights reflecting off the bay.

Esplanade Roof Terrace

Another great spot to watch F1 in Singapore for free is the Esplanade Roof Terrace.

This public rooftop garden doubles as a scenic viewing point overlooking Turns 14 and 15 along the Raffles Avenue stretch. Again, arrive early — space fills up fast.

Pro tip: Bring a foldable chair for maximum comfort (Decathlon chairs, we’re looking at you).

Marina Square Mall – Level 4 Food Court & Roof Garden

A food court might not be the first place that comes to mind for race viewing — but Marina Square Mall’s Level 4 food court is a local hack.

Fans head here early for a free view of the track (and an affordable dinner) in air-conditioned comfort.

If it’s packed, head to the roof garden near Pororo Park for a peek at Turn 15. Still no luck? The link bridge between Millenia Walk and Marina Square gives you a glimpse of Turn 6.

National Gallery Singapore

Already one of the best free museums in the city, the National Gallery Singapore is also a great place to watch F1 without spending a dollar.

In the past, before Smoke & Mirrors closed, you could sip a cocktail while watching cars thunder down Saint Andrew’s Road (between Turns 9 to 11 near the Padang).

While that’s no longer possible, the Gallery’s rooftop viewing deck is still free to the public.

Just keep in mind — private events may be booked closer to race weekend, so check ahead before going.

National Library (Bugis) – 12th Floor Terrace

Want a taste of the action without squeezing into a crowd? Try the National Library building on Victoria Street.

It’s not near the circuit, but it’s tall enough to give you distant views of the track. All you need is a good pair of binoculars, and you can spot cars tearing through the course.

When the humidity kicks in, simply step back inside the cool, air-conditioned library.

Travel Tips for F1 Weekend – Road Closures & Getting Around

Heading to the race? Whether you’ve got a grandstand seat or you’re chasing a free view, here’s how to get around with minimal stress.

Road Closures

  • Major closures around Marina Centre and Padang from 18 Sep (12:01am) to 24 Sep (5:30am) 2025, plus extra closures on race weekend.

  • Affected roads include Nicoll Highway, Stamford Road, Bayfront Avenue, Raffles Avenue, and Republic Boulevard.

  • Some sections reopen briefly during weekday peak hours, but delays are still likely.

Public Transport – Your Best Bet

  • MRT and buses run later on race nights.

  • City Hall, Raffles Place, Promenade, Nicoll Highway, Esplanade stations are closest to the circuit — pick the one nearest your gate.

  • Check your ticket for the recommended station; buses in the area may be diverted.

Getting to Viewing Spots

  • Routes to popular free spots like Helix Bridge may change — you might need to approach from the Marina Bay Sands side.

  • Allow extra walking time; some overhead bridges have controlled access.

Taxis & Ride-hailing

  • Taxi stands near the track may close; use designated drop-off points (e.g., The Concourse for Gate 1, Funan Mall for Gate 3).

  • After the race, demand is high — consider walking to a nearby MRT and taking a train elswhere before hailing a ride.

Walking Tips

  • Many hotels are within walking distance of the circuit — sometimes faster than driving.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and bring water; nights are warm (about 28°C) and humid.

Maps & Apps

  • Check out OneMap, the official road closure map from LTA OneMotoring.

  • Circuit Park maps (for ticket holders) help you navigate zones, stages, and food stalls.

  • Closer to race day, Google Maps often updates with closures.

Timing & Accessibility

  • Arrive at least 1–2 hours earlier than usual for security checks and crowds.

  • For popular free spots like Marina Square’s food court, you may need to “camp” for hours.

  • If you have mobility issues, note that some spots involve stairs or long walks; wheelchair platforms are available in certain ticketed areas.

Pro tip: Plan ahead and give yourself extra time — on race weekend, the city is buzzing but also busy. Volunteers and clear signage make it much easier to find your way around.
